Latest posts ‘Paramore’
On the the third day of Parahoy, cruisers spent morning and afternoon in Cozumel, Mexico and last night Paramore played their second and last show of the cruise. Go to our gallery to see new photos from yesterday.
The band played 20 songs setlist, including ‘Hallelujah’ with a Leonard Cohen cover and ‘O Star’ which haven’t been played in years. During ‘Misery Business’ two fans and one of our admins, Lidia got on stage to sing with the band!
During the performance Hayley introduced the whole band and new bassist Joey Howard. She also thanked everyone that’s ever played with Paramore and said that the band will be focusing on writing the next album after the cruise. You can read some of her stage speechs below.
“This past year has been a year that for me, I never want to relive again. At the same time, I would do it again if it meant understanding what having a real friend in this life feels like. Taylor, thank you so much for being awesome.”
About the band’s former members:
“It is an honor to play music with all the people that are here. It’s been an honor to play music with Josh, with Zac, with Jeremy, everyone that’s ever played with Paramore. It’s such an honor, to have friendship and music rolled into one thing… only god can do that. I’m just glad it’s not over because I want to keep doing it.”
About being the kindest version of herself in her 27th year:
“People in life will sometimes take your kindness for weakness. But the bigger lesson is to not let that stop you from being kind.”
About the new album:
“We’ve been — to be honest — a lot slower than I thought we would be. Sometimes life happens…. I took a Twitter break. It was great; you should try it some time. We’re gonna go on and make a record for ya… We’ll keep you posted.”
About playing ‘O Star’:
“We’ve never really played this ever, I don’t think.”
Describing how ‘O Star’ came together:
“At this point, I’m in the band, we’d written “Conspiracy,” we definitely thought we were going to get a record deal with Tooth & Nail Records, or something. Because Aaron was on Tooth & Nail, that’s what we wanted. And then Taylor and I got together for the first time after school and wrote for the first time ever. He was 12 years old, I think I’d just turned 13… We wrote this song pretty quickly.”

Hayley talked to WWD about her new hair dye line, goodDYEyoung. Read the article below to find out more about the colors and which shades will be available. The online pre-sale begins on April 15th and Hayley will also be promoting the line on Parahoy, which starts today!
Hayley Williams is on a mission to empower her fans — especially when it comes to their hair.
The twentysomething Grammy Award winner and lead vocalist for the rock band Paramore, is now launching Good Dye Young, a vibrant hair-dye line designed for in-home use. And she’s putting her money where her mouth is: the line is entirely self-financed.
“I wanted to take the intimidation factor out of doing hair at home,” Williams told WWD. The singer’s own ever-changing, brightly dyed hair was the inspiration for GDY, and she noted that she hopes it will create an “all-inclusive counterculture than inspires creativity, community and most of all, color. The definition of self-expression is when you wake up in the morning and ask, ‘Who do I want to be today?’”
Williams collaborated with her longtime Nashville-based colorist and stylist, Brian O’Connor, and L’Oréal alum Erik Hoover, general manager for GDY, to bring the collection to market, a process that took four years.
Five colors, each priced $14, will be offered. GDY combines professional-grade pigments with a non-toxic, fragrance-free, synthetic formula that conditions the hair as it deposits color, and all of the offerings are vegan and cruelty-free formulas, Williams noted.
Rock Lobster is a bright red; Blue Ruin is a vivid blue; Ex-Girl is a vibrant pink; (red), Steal My Sunshine is a sunny yellow and Riot is a high-octane orange. (Williams said her favorites are Steal My Sunshine and Riot.) Application instructions are express in cartoons rather than long-winded explanations, said Hoover.
Also planned are a lightening bleach, tools such as a reusable bowl and brush and a fader that allows for custom pastel shades.
The line will be pre-sold on the web beginning April 15, for a May ship. Williams is also promoting the line to her fans on a cruise that will take place March 5-9. (“They’re the people who empowered me in the first place, so I wanted them to see it first,” said Williams.) Hoover added that the brand is examining bricks-and-mortar distribution and most likely will launch there in 2017. Global distribution is also in the plans.
The 27-year-old Williams, who married fellow musician Chad Gilbert on Feb. 20, plans to add more colors to the line “down the road.”
Hayley has now officially launched her own hair dye line, called goodDYEyoung! She announced it via Twitter yesterday, saying she’s very excited about it. You can subscribe for updates and more at gooddyeyoung.com. The vibrant hair-dye line designed for in-home use, will be available online on April 15th.
According to Trademarkia goodDYEyoung is owned by Beware of You, Inc. and it has a trademark for hair dye but also for make up, lipstick and nail polish. The line is vegan, features PETA logo and does not test on animals.
The line is promoted by Hayley’s friends including Rosalina Young, Josh Dun from Twenty One Pilots and Charlavail, you can see behind the scenes photos from the photoshoot in our gallery.
The packaging design for the dyes can be seen below.
Hayley and her long-time boyfriend, Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory, got married yesterday! The couple held their private wedding ceremony and reception in Franklin, TN. On behalf of all of us at Paramore Online, we’d like say congratulations to the happy couple!
Go to our gallery to see new photos from the wedding.
Video of the couple cutting their wedding cake can be seen below.
An article about the wedding was featured on The Knot website. You can read it below.
Sporting a Vera Wang wedding dress and Doc Martins, Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams married her New Found Glory guitarist beau Chad Gilbert the most wonderful punk wedding this weekend on February 20.
The couple’s wedding venue, The Franklin Theatre, wasn’t just selected for its unique, photogenic qualities. The bride, her Paramore bandmates and fellow community members helped contribute to the restoration and reopening of the theater after it shut down, earning it a special place in her heart. The couple also chose to only include local vendors at the February 20 wedding to highlight their love of their Nashville, Tennessee home.
Williams and Gilbert enjoyed a messy first bite – rather, face full – of their wedding cake made entirely of donuts! The 100 Layer Donut Cake was a first for the Five Daughters Bakery who created the confection with three tiers of three different flavors. Topping their delicious donut wedding cake, were action figures by Super 7 Funko Reaction Figures modeled after Leeloo from The Fifth Element & Sloth from The Goonies! The bakery also created 100 individual donuts, including vegan and paleo option with funny little quotes like “I like your butt” and “You’re so punk rock” adorning each one.
While Gilbert remained in his wedding attire provided by Ben Sherman for the reception, Williams changed into a UNIF top emblazoned with the her husband’s name “Chad.” She paired the shirt with a white TOPSHOP skirt and custom hi-tops from Vans to get her punk rock party on.
The couple’s punk theme carried through to their reception which was held at and catered by Puckett’s Grocery & Restaurant in Downtown Franklin.
The newlyweds and their wedding guests, including their Paramore and New Found Glory bandmates (and the couple’s adorable dog Alf) danced into the night to the sounds of live music from Anthony Adams and The Nite Owls.
